Thai Slangs You Must Learn Now. “Tdings are easily Fin.”

Let’s learn some more about Thai language by these slangs, which suited the Thai intermediate learners. To know Thai slangs is a way you learn a lot about Thailand.

MThai English sees the necessity of the words selected that are implied by most of ages among Thais, especially working places, not only teenagers.

1. Fin – ฟิน [tone – normal]

Fin refers a feeling of deeply fascinated, deeply fancied. It’s something you love seeing it repeatedly. It’s used for telling the feeling you encounter something making you blushed, and you are so happy, because you 100% support it.

Guessed it’s derived the way Thai people speak the word ‘feel’ or ‘feeling’ that Oh ! god, it’s the feeling, it made me feel [something] – ‘fin’ = feel as Thai accent.

Example:
Thai                           – ดูเจมส์กับคิมเมื่อคืนแล้วฟินมากอ่ะ    
Thai – Romanized    – Doo James gab Kim meua-keun laeo ‘Fin’ mak ah.
English (literally)     – Last night, (I) watched James and Kimberly, then I felt so thrilled and have been very deeply fascinated.

2. Ting [Tding] – ติ่ง

Ting or said Tding (not only tee) literally means something comes with some of your organs like appendix staying with your intestines (sai), in Thai is Sai tding.

[Another part (of the body) Thais call tding is the lower part of the ears, where the ear rings are normally put. They are tding hoo (ear(s))]

Tding, as a slang, is even to appendix, Sai tding. It is considered less important, but always sticking to the organs. Tding (sometimes called followers) is kind of insulting to somebody throw all their unconditional love to somebody/something famous e.g. actors/actresses, singers, politicians, tv series.

What tdings do:
– Follow the one anywhere they visit.
– Hold some electricity signs to cheer the one up.
– Are always on the one’s side, no matter what and how something happened.
